i use to get the biggest chuckle when the elders insisted that when going out on a date that someone older and mature had to go with you to make sure you don't fornicate.
how imposing!!
i have a friend (did the fade) that was stuck with her brother being the chaperone a couple of times when she was dating her then boyfriend.
Like people can't POSSIBLY control their raging hormones at 48 years old. Oh No! Get out the fire extinguishers, people, it's another case of Hot Monkey Love! Pshhhyeah.

I'm curious. I read from Silent Lambs that viewers with DirecTV in the USA could watch it on channel 366, News World International, which I think is a CBC affiliate? Anyway, when I looked in the program guide, it just said The National was scheduled for that time. Will the Fifth Estate do a simulcast with The National? I am so confused!

My brother who is 41 went out on a date with a girl from another Hall and had my Mother chaperone. Is that wierd or what?

with all the publicity around the fifth estate program being shown tomorrow night on cbc, do you think this will make a big impact in the general public?edited by - jh on 29 january 2003 6:44:36.
I'm curious. I read that USA users with DIRECWAY could get it on News World International Channel 366. However, when I looked at the directory it said that there is only news programs on. Would they call it something else on NWI? I am in the Central time zone.

or at least i feel that way.
my emotions are so close too the surface now, which is very disconcerting for me.
most of you know my son anthony is going in to the military in june<marines> but he is also graduating from high school <double whammy>.
Boy can I sympathize with this!
Sounds like you have done a wonderful job of being a parent, a Mother, and a friend and raised a great kid that is someone who will make you proud! Mine left home last year and I suffered maybe two months of just complete heartbreak! The "Empty Nester's Syndrome" is what it is called. There's lots of sites on the Internet that can help you deal with it. It hurts, but it does get better, hon! I moped around for two months and just cried and felt guilty, and felt glad, and all kinds of emotions. It's like a loss.. but then, it's a good loss, because all kids have to grow up and make their own way in the world. We just hope that we have given them all the armour to get along. It sure appears that you have! It's a very bittersweet time..
But remember, there's always the Grandbabies to spoil.. hehehh. And there will be more time for you and Thunder. Alot of times, romances re-blossom and get stronger ... and your life will become rich and bountiful again! Do you still have one at home to take care of yet?

Sounds like your children's Mother is well aware of the kid's Grandmother's religion and prolly will not want a study anyway.
